My opinion in black and white

There are a lot of things we don't like to think about, things that bother us a lot but we cannot do anything to change it.
I know people will say, there's nothing that can't be changed, it takes will power, but how long have we been trying to empower women and yet achieved so little.
We may now have women in high influential position, but even in that position do they get as much respect and co-operation from colleagues like her counterpart? To which you may argue, respect is earned, but it is obvious that a woman needs to prove herself a lot more comparatively and still does not gain as much support and respect. So now, is it her fault? Or are we still not able to change the stereotypical mentality of people (men and women).
It's so saddening to hear politicians and police making gender biased comments against women publicly, and its depressing to know that public doesn't react to it and throw them off power... Which makes me think, is our gender so small and insignificant? Do we not deserve some respect from our country men, atleast when something is being said and done against us on a large scale?
The hottest topic lately against women is about their clothing, saying they are too revealing... ( and here comes the reason why I have put off writing this for so long. My statement may become a state of gossip, the main basis of judging me, which may lead to defamation and so on, even though I am not a well-known personality. This is the fear of the stereotypical society that I live in. But today I made a mind to dare.)
It's been said, and by people who had been appointed by the society to protect you, that, its okay for a man to rape a woman if she is wearing clothes that are too short.
Firstly, I will agree that short clothes look inappropriate, but its a personal preference.
Secondly, Men stare at women lustfully even if they are covered from head to toe, men rape women even when they are properly attired. Men raping women is not about how women dress! It's about how men think.
Agreed?
May be revealing clothes are an aggravating factor but its not the cause. If it were the cause then all men should be rapist because at some point of time they have come across at least one woman in revealing attire. We are being blamed because we are the weaker gender, and we live in a men dominated society! It's easier to blame always, isn't it?

Of course, am not saying all men are same. There are men who stand up for their partners, who believe in equity.
We need to change our thoughts, don't blame the clothes. We are born naked aren't we? Haven't we lived eras in nudity? It's not about the clothes, its gender discrimination.
